Chain Monsters is one of the blockchain projects I have been following the longest. I initially found out about them while they were a 2D prototype on Ethereum chain and have been supporting them ever since.
While there is some competition, Chain Monsters is gearing up to be the definitive blockchain version of Pokemon.
If you want to learn more, you should visit their official website and view their highly successful kickstarter for their rebirth on the flow blockchain. While you cannot get beta access from the developers, you can buy access from other users who never activated their own account through the market.

The game is currently in closed beta on Windows and Mobile with open beta planned for later in the year. This means it is a stripped down version of the game at the moment, but it will grow a lot once open beta arrives. Until then we are limited to three type of missions to gain experiment (which in turn earns exclusive season rewards).
The first type of mission is familiar to any MMO player, Kill X Monsters. If you want me to explain that, I’ll happily make another video and article on it. The missions I’m here to discuss today are the “fetch quests”.
Investigate Anomalies

There are four locations on the map which you need to visit to complete this mission. It took me FOREVER to find them since they can be hard to see and hidden by the terrain. These locations do not change, so every time you receive this question you need to visit the same places. Since there is no mini map, I have included a short video you can watch to see where these locations are.
Retrieve Lost Goods

This quest is much easier than the anomalies one. There is a various obvious and easy to find shipwreck on the map. Near the ship there are four points to visit to complete the quest. I have included this in the video as well.
Video Walk Through
Below is a 5 minute video (which I suggest watching in double time) showing how to complete these two quests. Normally I would pause and fight monsters on the way, but I wanted to keep it brief.
- This is a VERY bare bones video. No voice over, barely any sound, I just wanted to get it out there.
- Remember, the game is in closed beta, this is only a sample of whats to come.
I hope you find this video helpful and I hope to see you in the world of Chain Monsters in the future!
