I was very excited when they announced the Garden of Sinners Revival. I really enjoyed the Kara no Kyōkai series, and the episode which inspired this, Paradox Spiral, was particularly memorable (and disturbing).
The event has a lot of solid limited releases as well. Shiki is one of my favorite welfare servants, she is strong enough that I often find myself choosing her over my 5* Assassins. In addition, one of my favorite craft essences is an event essence so this is my chance to stock up. This is a very exciting event for me!

For those unfamiliar, Shiki (Assassin) is a 4 star “welfare” servant. “Welfare” servants are called such because if you finish the event, you should have everything you need to fully ascend them as well as to max their Noble Phantasm. There is no need to pray to the RNG gods or roll the gatcha, with enough grinding they are completely free. Shiki is an excellent boss killer with fairly quick NP charge and decent survivability. She also has the ability to inflict death with her NP so she can make quick work of non-servant mini bosses.

Threefold Barrier is one of my go to CEs. It lets you reduce damage by 1000 (or 1200 when fully leveled) three times. This is great when you are having a bit of trouble surviving a difficult encounter. Sure, there are better CEs depending on the situation, but the fact that this is fairly generic is a strength. It means one less thing to worry about when farming easy quests against high crit or berserker enemies. It works equally well for any servant. During the event it increases the number of base model enemies you fight, so it’s worth holding onto if there ever is a third revival.

There were two other limited time servants available during this event. Fittingly, since Shiki is actually two personalities as one, she has a second servant. Its basically an area of effect, saber, version of her assassin. Since she has consistently ghosted me in the gatcha I don’t have a strong feeling about her.
The second limited servant is Asagami Fujino. Fujino was added during the revival and I’m half glad she ghosted me in the gatcha. Her character is from the third Kara no Kyōkai episode, Remaining Sense of Pain, and is fairly disturbing. Her animations reflect her character well. I will refrain from giving spoilers, but you can read the above Wikipedia link if you want to learn more. Though she receives a fairly high tier rating, there are other four star archers which I find to be better. Still, she would be a worthwhile addition to anyone’s collection.
The key question is, was it a good event?
I’m inclined to say yes. As someone who played the first event, I was able to clear it, and mostly empty the shop, with four days to spare. It was fairly new player friendly as well, all the quests cost either 5 or 20 AP so it was accessible without devouring apples (energy restoring items). Being a revival meant you could EASILY find any support you needed, or claim useful CEs from the prize shop. Not only that, but by using appearance up CEs you could literally choose how difficult a given quest was.
That being said, it was still a grind, and I am very glad we have a break from events for a little bit. I need to restock on summoning tickets and take a step back from the game to mentally recharge and catch up on sleep. I am suffering from a mild case of Fate GO Fatigue, in fact its why it took me so long to post this.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! How did you fare in the events? Did you get Saber Shiki or Fujino? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
